Re: America’s most Admired companies
Who Admires Walmart?
• Certainly not the employees—underpaid, overworked, mistreated, non-benefited
• not the suppliers—who are treated less than slaves, controlled—what good is volume if you go bankrupt?
Not the customer—who receives cheap goods with poor quality in an at-risk environment where every customer is suspect and where a “Made In America” good cannot be found.
Not the community who has seen local businesses, small businesspersons, and downtown districts annihilated and in their places unsightedly windowless boxes built causing urban sprawl, crime, and non-livable jobs.
Not the American worker whose has seen their livelihoods destroyed in the lemming like move to China and the Far East, where Walmart imports tens of billions of goods and their suppliers equally as much or more, who have been sent downwardly mobile into retail and service jobs that pay one half to one third of the jobs lost, many of who are now bankrupt, lost their homes, their self-esteem, are living day to day in a survival mode. For what good are cheap goods if no one has a job to buy them?
Once again, who admires Walmart?
